Veeam 100 Summit 2026 – Day One

The Veeam 100 Summit 2026 is taking place in Lisbon, Portugal, as I write. On day one, I attended the Object First track. Object First was acquired by Veeam in Q1 2026. While I cannot disclose anything discussed here, I can share that these people are (very) ambitious. It was a technical, no-nonsense experience where I voiced my enthusiasm, wishes, and concerns in my usual feedback style. Direct, unapologetic but polite, with the occasional strong “force multiplier” wording.

That led to some interesting discussions with lead architect Alexey Vasilev and Anthony Cusimano at the evening networking event. The level of interaction didn’t disappoint, as we have come to expect at the Veeam 100 Summit 2026. Great first day.
